Tony Groome is a professional and independent forestry advisor, based in Manawatu, with 15 years experience working in both corporate and private forestry throughout New Zealand. His skills range from forest establishment and silviculture through to the harvesting and marketing of logs.

He is a third generation New Zealand forester, following in the footsteps of his father John, and grandfather Ben, both of whom have made significant lifetime contributions to the New Zealand and international forest industries.

Tony Groome & Associates' most recent projects include harvest planning; management and quality control of silviculture operations; health and safety plans for logging contractors; logging crew evaluation; forest industry market analysis; dispatch communication research and development; and communication and security solutions.

Tony is supported by a diverse range of associates who are skilled people qualified to provide their expertise to individual projects as required.

Tony is a full member of the New Zealand Institute of Forestry, and the New Zealand Farm Forestry Association.
